En el caso de las empresas turísticas tiene una importancia decisiva debido a tres circunstancias específicas:

1.- Marked seasonal character of the tourist demand.
2.- Remarkable elasticity of the tourist market demand.
3.- The cost structures of the activity.

The price has importance, by the next reasons:

a) Is the only marketing variable that affects directly in the income and benefits     of the company.

b) Is an action instrument in the short therm.

c) Is an indicator of quality.

d) The price act like regulator of demand.

e) Is a filter selector of clients type.
